Located on Via Prarion, this charming restaurant offers a perfect blend of traditional Italian hospitality and breathtaking mountain views. Whether you're a local or a visitor exploring the stunning region, Grange Tachier provides an inviting atmosphere and a delicious menu that reflects the culinary richness of the area.

As you step inside, the warmth of the rustic decor and the cozy ambiance immediately set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The wooden beams, stone walls, and gentle lighting create a welcoming environment, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff at Grange Tachier is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels taken care of from the moment they arrive.

The restaurant's menu is a delightful representation of Italian cuisine, with a particular emphasis on local flavors and fresh ingredients. One standout feature is the restaurant’s commitment to using high-quality, locally sourced produce, ensuring that every dish is packed with authentic taste. Grange Tachier is known for its rich pasta dishes, tender meats, and innovative takes on classic Italian recipes.

The risotto ai funghi (mushroom risotto) is a favorite among regulars, boasting a creamy texture and the earthy flavor of freshly foraged mushrooms. For those who prefer something heartier, the brasato al Barolo (braised beef in Barolo wine) is a must-try, with the tender meat absorbing the deep, rich flavors of the local Barolo wine. Vegetarians will also find plenty to enjoy, with dishes like millefoglie di verdure (vegetable millefeuille) providing a light but satisfying option.

Grange Tachier’s wine list is another highlight. Featuring a selection of local wines from the Piemonte region, the restaurant offers something for every palate. Whether you prefer a bold red or a crisp white, the knowledgeable staff is happy to recommend the perfect pairing to complement your meal. The Barbera d’Alba is a popular choice, offering a smooth and full-bodied taste that pairs wonderfully with the restaurant's meat dishes.

In addition to the food and wine, Grange Tachier also offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both large gatherings and intimate meals. The restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner or a family celebration, with tables arranged to offer both privacy and an inclusive vibe. Guests often comment on the personal touch provided by the staff, making each visit feel special.

The nearby Sauze d’Oulx area is known for its excellent ski conditions, and Grange Tachier is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some of the finest food in the region.

The location itself adds to the charm of Grange Tachier. • The food here is amazing, I haven't left a restaurant that satisfied in a long time. Polenta was the best I have ever had and the zabaione I could have drunk litres of. Wow. Loved it. Will be back again and again. Service was also great.

  • We arrived early for lunch after luckily getting a cancellation through WhatsApp. We were greeted by an amazing team of people who made sure we really enjoyed our experience. We were given a table with a beautiful view. The food was amazing. Excellent quality and such good value. Wine was delicious. Highly recommend the walk up to the restaurant

  • Absolutely amazing ’little’ gem about 30 minute walk south of Sauze d’Oulx. Very local and delicious dishes, most entirely home-made (their own pasta, gnochi, bread, etc) and using very local produce. Service was impeccable, everyone nice. The atmosphere, both indoors and outside, is breathtaking. Another one that would have gotten 6 stars if it was possible! Absolutely recommended!

  • Excellent food in a lovely warm cosy mountain setting. The homemade bread was great, the tagliatelle with ragu of wild boar was chewy and delicious. The polenta with sausages lovely. Beautifully decorated restaurant. Great service. 30 minute walk up from Sauze which helps build up an appetite and aids digestion. Fabulous.

  • Our visit was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by the thrill of arriving by snowmobile through a stunning winter landscape. We started with a platter of local delicacies, featuring the finest cheeses, cured meats, and artisanal treats. The polenta with sausage was rich and comforting, while the Fassona tartare with Gorgonzola was a perfect mix of tenderness and bold flavor. A delicious dessert provided the ideal sweet ending (a delicious upsidedown apricot cake). The warm ambiance, gentle and attentive service, and outstanding food made this a truly special experience. Highly recommended!

  • So, if you are in the area of Sauze d'Oux, and you are up for an amazing Italian food experience, you should definitely go here! There you will also find Marco, Who can give you amazing wine pairing advice! Last but not least, when going for dinner, you will be picked up and brought back by snowmobile, an experience in itself.

  • WOW! I loved every aspect of my lunch here at Tachier. Already, the seating looks amazing from the outside, getting to choose from sitting inside or out, both are beautiful. We sat inside and my Italian partner ordered the Polenta with sausage and GANEFLA (this is not talked about enough! - basically a gnocchi dish with melted cheese!) For dessert was a fruit tart and apple crumble on zabaione. 10 points for the service as well, the server spoke in English and was extremely kind. Never say no to Tachier. Thank you

  • An early stopover on my morningwalk brings me to this place. The very good coffee, the terrace with splendid view on mount Chamberton and the nice weather asks for a second coffee. This brings a nice conversation with one of the owners-Marco. I complement him on his impressive offer of Italian wines. He responds that I should try one of the bottles with one of their typical Piedmontese homemade meals. We make a reservation for the next evening. It is a nice walk of 2,5km through the woods on a fairly easy path with an open air museum of wood sculptures. When we arrive the place is packed but the team manages very well and offer great explanation, recommendation of meals and wines. It is a true delight to eat here and be served as guests should be treated. The dishes are all homemade, fresh and made with high quality ingredients accompanied by a nice Red wine . We have Batuta Piedmontese as 1st course, pasta with ragout of wild boar and homemade desserts and leave with a smile, a full tummy and a bill of 220€ for 4persons. Not cheap but worth every cent of it. Make sure you call in advance as the place is packed despite its remote location. Dogs are allowed
